Vintage Bvlgari Diamond and Tourmaline Signed Tronchetto Ring
The house of Bvlgari, founded in Rome in 1884, has become synonymous with the highest level of Italian jewelry craftsmanship and quality, and is world renowned for their distinctive designs. Throughout the decades, Bvlgari pieces have always stayed true to the house’s voice, all while incorporating unusual materials such as their signature cabochon cut and brightly multi-colored gemstones. Bvlgari’s legacy vintage pieces seem to defy time, and feel modern and easily wearable to this day.
Circa 1990’s Bvlgari created a unique aesthetic with their contemporary “Tronchetto” collection, which saw many iterations featuring a wide array of cabochon cut or carved gemstones of all types and colors. This fine example of the style features grape-colored tourmaline cabochons, which were specially cut in a shape specific to this design. And a row of bright white carré cut diamonds are channel-set through the center of the ring for added sparkle.
